  • Description:
    • The 120,000 GSF Science, Engineering & Technology Building at Dixie State University will include labs and classroom spaces, computer labs as well as faculty offices and other support spaces. This project also includes the demolition of the existing performing arts building and the demolition and re-paving of the existing Whitehead Education Building.

The facility, planned to be 120,00 square feet and five stories high, is expected to be ready for the Fall 2021 semester, according to a press release.

The building's site is next to the Fountain Amphitheater on Dixie State's campus and will hold 26 science, engineering and technology labs. It will also have three levels of outdoor patios, with the top one designed as an astronomy deck.

“This innovative facility will not just be a new building, but it will also be a home away from home for our students studying in the STEM fields,” Eric Pedersen, dean of the College of Science, Engineering & Technology, said in a press release.
