    • Building A, Bs, C – Project Update
      March 11, 2019
      At the Capitol Hill Station TOD, concrete operations are picking up the pace with work proceeding simultaneously on all three buildings. Over the last two weeks the project has placed 33,000 square feet of elevated PT slabs as well as the last 9,000 square feet of slab on grade while also building the vertical work.
      
      We will be topping out concrete activities on Building B-South by the end of this week! with the completion of the Level 3 Transfer Deck. Building A is forming its last Garage deck on Level P1, and Building C is ready to place the Level 1 Ground floor starting next week.

      PROJECT INFO
      Sound Transit to perform high noise volume fan testing, the second week of every month. Scheduled to occur between 12:00am-2:00am, after the stations are closed.
      
      Buildings A, B-South, C
      Lewis is beginning construction on three buildings at the Capitol Hill Station TOD site this June. The project consists of three apartment buildings situated around a plaza that will house weekend markets and festivals. The apartment complex features a total of 318 apartments, 211 below-grade parking stalls and 32,000 square feet of retail space on 1.3 blocks over the light rail station owned by Sound Transit. All three buildings are pursuing LEED Platinum for homes.
      
      Building B-North
      Walsh Construction will be building 110 affordable rental apartments for Capitol Hill Housing on the B-North site, at the corner of John Street & 10th Ave E. In addition to the residential units, there will be a Community Meeting Room on the first floor. B-North is pursuing Evergreen Sustainable Development Standards as well as LEED for Homes and has a goal of using at least 14% Women and Minority Owned Businesses during the construction of the project.
