  • Description:
    • An expansion project to increase the capacity of the school from 1,700 students to 2,200. The project will add career and technical program space along with safety and security improvements for the front office and entrance to the school.
      
      The project will include 14 new general classrooms, a new science lab, expanded automotive, culinary, digital media and residential construction program spaces, additional special education classrooms, expanded administration areas, expanded parking, a new drop-off lane and improved traffic flow and relocated softball fields and tennis courts, according to Salem-Keizer Public Schools.

      The project will include the following building improvements: office renovation, seismic improvements, integrated music and digital media programs, exterior seal, flooring replacements, plumbing and ventilation improvements, intercom system upgrade, electronic badge access system upgrade and expanded wireless capacity.
      
      Construction began in June, and the project is expected to be completed in September 2020, according to the district.
